Nigeria’s Super Eagles, Tuesday, overpowered Libya’s Mediterranean Knights 3-2 goals in Tunisa to top Group E in the African Cup of Nations football competition slated for Cameroun next year.
Super Eagles had beaten the Libyan national team 4-0 on Saturday at Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State Capital while Bafana Bafana of South Africa walloped Seychelles 6-0.
Odion Ighalo scored two goals while Ahmed Musa netted one goal to give Nigeria the win.
In another match, South Africa, Tuesday, played a goalless draw with Seychelles to garner eight points to be placed second in the group. Libya has four points while Seychelles occupied the bottom.
Nigeria will play South Africa on November 15. A win will give Nigeria automatic qualification to the AFCON finals next year in Cameroon.
