    The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr. Abbas Tajudeen and Deputy President of the Senate, Barau I. Jibrin, have congratulated the Nigerian Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, on his 62nd birthday.

    This is as Akwa Ibom Governor Umo Eno, equally felicitated Senator Akpabio, on his 62nd birthday marked Monday December 9.

    Speaker Abbas described Senator Akpabio as a successful politician and an experienced lawmaker, saying the President of the Senate remains one of the few Nigerians to have reached the peak of both executive and legislative arms of the government at the state and federal levels.

    Abbas noted how Senator Akpabio was the ‘Uncommon’ Governor of Akwa Ibom State, member/Minority Leader of the Senate, Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, and became President of the Senate on his return to the Red Chamber.

    The Speaker, in a congratulatory message issued through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Musa Abdullahi Krishi, commended Akpabio for being a dependable ally and productive partner in the leadership of the 10th National Assembly.

    “Together, Distinguished Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio and I have been working for the common good of the people, in the implementation of the ‘Renewed Hope Agenda’ of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.

    “Since our inauguration in June last year, the working relationship between the House and the Senate has been beneficial to the country, and it is my hope that the collaboration will continue to benefit Nigerians,” he said.

    The Speaker wished Akpabio more years on earth in good health and service to humanity.

    Moreover, Senator Jibrin, has congratulated the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio, on his 62nd birthday anniversary.

    In a congratulatory message he signed and released on Sunday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ismail Mudashir, Senator Barau described Senator Akpabio as a patriotic Nigerian par excellence.

    He said the President of the Senate has contributed immensely to the advancement of the legislative arm and propelled the country’s overall development.

    The Deputy President of the Senate, who is also the First Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of the ECOWAS Parliament, praised Senator Akpabio for the 10th Senate’s robust synergy with the executive arm for the benefit of the general populace.

    “I join all Nigerians and other well-wishers worldwide in congratulating your Excellency, the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio, GCON, on your 62nd birthday anniversary.

    “Your remarkable journey as a governor, senator, minority leader, minister, and now President of the Senate has been exemplary and groundbreaking.

    “Your dedication to advancing the legislative arm, robust legislative-executive synergy and overall nation-building have, indeed, stood you out as a patriotic Nigerian par excellence,” he said.

    Deputy Speaker Kalu, has also congratulated Akpabio on his 62nd birthday hailing Akpabio’s exceptional leadership, wisdom, and dedication to Nigeria’s democratic process.

    He also acknowledged Akpabio’s achievements as governor of Akwa Ibom State, which have left a lasting legacy.

    The Deputy Speaker who referred to Akpabio as a “jinx breaker” due to his historic election to the Executive Committee of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), ending Nigeria’s 59-year exclusion from the global legislative body’s top hierarchy saluted the Senate President’s political trajectory.

    He also commended Akpabio’s commitment to promoting good governance, accountability, and the rule of law, earning him respect and admiration from colleagues and the nation at large.

    Kalu prayed to God to continue to bless Akpabio with long life, good health, and wisdom as he serves his fatherland.

    “Your Excellency, I extend my warmest congratulations to you on your birthday. Today marks a significant milestone in your life, and I am honored to celebrate this special day with you.

    “Your commitment to promoting good governance, accountability, and the rule of law has earned you the respect and admiration of your colleagues and the nation at large.

    “As you celebrate another year of life, I pray that Almighty God continues to bless you with good health, wisdom, and strength to continue serving our nation with distinction.

    “Please accept my heartfelt felicitations, and may this special day be filled with joy, love, and cherished moments with family and friends,” he said.

    Eno felicitates Akpabio too

    Meanwhile, Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno, has sent his birthday felicitations to the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio, as he marks his 62nd birthday Monday.

    In his message, released by his Chief Press Secretary, Ekerete Udoh, Governor Eno described the Senate President as “a consequential son of our dear State, who left a transformative and enduring imprints while you served our people as Governor.

    “Today, as the Senate President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, you are emerging as a Pan -Nigerian, working across party lines to galvanize members of the 10th National Assembly and indeed the larger Nigerian populace to support the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR.

    “Here in our State, you have shown your love and support for our developmental blueprint anchored on our Arise Agenda, proving that development and politics are mutually inclusive and therefore, should be beyond political coloration.

    “As you celebrate your birthday today, on behalf of the Government and people of Akwa Ibom State, I wish you a happy birthday.

    “May God bless you with robust health, strength and protection so you may continue to serve our Nation with more verve and vigour.”
