The Chairman of Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Professor Mahmood Yakubu has foreclosed any attempt by politicians or political parties to campaign again till Saturday, February 23 billed for presidential and National Assembly elections.
Yakubu who was addressing stakeholders in Abuja on Saturday said the comission has suspended the all forms of campaign closed on Thursday, February 14 as contained in the Electoral Act.
He further told the stakeholders that the commission has closed collection of Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) and would not reopen the collection until after all the elections in the country.
The election umpire closed collection of PVCs on Monday, February 11.
