    Davido Wins 2017 AFRIMMA

    Davido has won 2017 Africa Muzik Magazine Awards & Music Festival (AFRIMMA) held in the U.S. on Sunday at the House of Blues, Dallas, Texas.

    The Nigerian music star, who won the biggest prize of the night, also took home both the Artist of the Year award and the Song of the Year Award for “IF.”

    The show was hosted by Basketmouth and Chipukeezy, and was a gathering of the best in African music, from Tiwa Savage to Fally Ipupa.

    Performing at the award-winning ceremony were; Falz, Kaffy, Scientific from Liberia, Tzy Panshak from Cameroon, C4 Pedro, as well as Nsoki both from Angola.

    Other winners of AFRIMMA included Falz (Nigeria) – Best Male West Africa; Tiwa Savage (Nigeria) – Best Female West Africa; Diamond Platnumz (Tanzania) – Best Male East Africa; Victoria Kimani (Kenya) – Best Female East Africa; C4 Pedro (Angola) – Best Male Central Africa; Nsoki (Angola) – Best Female Central Africa; Cassper Nyovest (South Africa) – Best Male Southern Africa; Babes Wodumo (South Africa) – Best Female Southern Africa; C4 Pedro (Angola) – Crossing Boundaries with Music Award; Nsoki (Angola) – Best Newcomer; Davido (Nigeria) – Artist of The Year; Dj Spinall (Nigeria)- Best DJ Africa; Dj Tunez (Nigeria) – Best African Dj USA;

    Other awardees were Fally Ipupa , (Congo) -Video of The Year; Julz (Ghana) – Music Producer of The Year; Ghetto Triplets Kids  (Uganda) – Best African Dancer; Davido (Nigeria) – Song of The Year; C4 Pedro (Angola) – Best Lusophone;  Fally Ipupa (Congo) – Best Francophone; Sheyman (Nigeria) – Best Sound Engineer; Wizkid ft Chris Brown (Nigeria & USA) – Best Collaboration; Engineer Noah Dallaji – Transformational Leadership Award; Sarkodie (Ghana) – Best Rap Act; Timaya (Nigeria) – Dancehall Act of The Year; Daps (Nigeria) – Best Video Director; Amr Diab (Egypt) – Best Male North Africa; Dj Spinall (Nigeria) – Best African Dj; Nathaniel Bassey (Nigeria) – Best Gospel Artist; Amani Swissi (Tunisia) – Best Female North Africa.
