The Super Eagles of Nigeria pipped the Squirrels of Benin Republic 2-1 in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier played at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Wednesday.
The Squirrels scored in the first five minutes before the Super Eagles equalised through penalty in the 45th minute of the tension-soaked match.
Victor Osimhen scored through a penalty in the 45th minute while Samuel Kalu scored in the 65th minute to help Nigeria bounce back from a goal down.
So far, the Eagles have picked three vital points at the end of the crucial encounter.
