A total of 684 new cases of Coronavirus were recorded on Friday in Nigeria.
The total number of confirmed infections in the country now stands at 23,298.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, on its Twitter handle said 8,253 patients have been discharged in the country and 554 patients have died.
Further data obtained from the NCDC showed that Lagos, the epicentre has recorded 259 cases, being the highest figure.
Others are Oyo-76 Katsina-69 Delta-66 Rivers-46 Ogun-23 Edo-22 Osun-22 Ebonyi-21 FCT-20 Kaduna-16 Ondo-10 Imo-9 Abia-9 Gombe-5 Plateau-4 Bauchi-4 Ekiti-2 and Anambra-1.

Europe: 2 365 834 cases; the five countries reporting most cases are Russia (613 994), United Kingdom (307 980), Spain (247 486), Italy (239 706) and Germany (192 556).
Oceania: 9 115 cases; the five countries reporting most cases are Australia (7 558), New Zealand (1 170), Guam (247), French Polynesia (60) and Northern Mariana Islands (30).
Other: 696 cases have been reported from an international conveyance in Japan.
