Billionaire Ned Nwoko has given reason for marrying the actress, Regina Daniels.

Regina, whose marriage to the 59-year-old Nwoko generated a lot of controversy from her father and her teeming fans, gave birth to a baby boy a few days ago.

Senator Nwoko in his Twitter handle wrote “I liked her when I saw her (Regina Daniels) especially when I found out that she was from that place. I had always wanted to have somebody (a wife) from my side.”

The actress’ husband tweeted “We were introduced to each other and one thing led to another. That was when I found out that she is a very decent girl. I have always said that I would not marry anyone who isn’t a virgin and that is very important to me.

“When I found out that she was a virgin, it reinforced my decision to marry her. I married all my wives as virgins.”

Meanwhile, Regina’s father, Jude Ojegwu who strongly opposed the union has reconciled with Ned Nwoko, her husband.

Ojegwu flanked by his wife, daughter and in-law was seen clutching his grand-child during the child’s naming ceremony last Friday.

“The birth of the child has answered the question (about the controversy). Everybody craves peace, joy and happiness,” he later told newsmen at the ceremony.
