Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, Wednesday, confirmed 152 new COVID-19 infections in the country.
NCDC via its Twitter said “On the 10th of November, 2020, 152 new confirmed cases and 2 deaths were recorded in Nigeria.
“The 152 new cases are reported from 9 states- Lagos (93), FCT (21), Oyo (15), Rivers (11), Bauchi (7), Kwara (2), Bayelsa (1), Edo (1), Plateau (1).
“Till date, 64336 cases have been confirmed, 60333 cases have been discharged and 1160 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory
“A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 3, continues to coordinate the national response activities,” it tweeted.

Meanwhile, the centre tweeted “We can’t afford to have yet another wave of #COVID-19 outbreak. We urge Nigerians to #TakeResponsibility to keep our nation safe by adhering to all #COVID-19 preventive measures. It is our collective responsibility.”
Chikwe Ihekweazu, Director General of Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) tweeted on Wednesday “As we respond to #COVID-19, there is still so much work for us to do globally in strengthening countries’ preparedness and response to health emergencies.
“Critical discussions at the resumed World Health Assembly with strong leadership from @WHO.
He wrote “Today, I received the new Program Manager (PM) of the Regional Private Public Partnerships programme of @giz_gmbh, Damien Bishop at @NCDCgov HQ. It was a pleasure to work with Sabine Ablefoni, the outgoing PM.
“We look forward to strengthening our collaboration with @giz_gmbh.”
