Seven persons died from COVID-19 complications in Nigeria one day, Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has confirmed.
Nigeria also recorded 838 confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, December 27.
Of the number, Federal Capital Territory recorded 297, being the highest in the chart while Lagos and Plateau States have 253 and 82 cases respectively.
NCDC tweeted on Sunday “On the 27th of November 2020, 838 new confirmed cases and 7 deaths were recorded in Nigeria.
“The 838 new cases are reported from 16 states- FCT (297), Lagos (253), Plateau (82), Kaduna (57), Katsina (32), Nasarawa (31), Kano (25), Gombe (24), Oyo (8), Rivers (8), Zamfara (7), Ogun (4), Bauchi (4), Edo (4), Anambra (1) and Sokoto (1).
On the caseloads of the pandemic, it stated “Till date, 84414 cases have been confirmed, 71034 cases have been discharged and 1254 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
“A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC) activated at Level 3, continues to coordinate the national response activities.”
