    Mob Kill 2 Suspected Thieves in Lagos

    Two suspected thieves were beaten to death weekend in Isheri Oshun area of Lagos by an angry mob who descended on them.

    The thieves were said to have allegedly snatched a motorcycle from one Soliu Azeez of 4 Rubutu Street in Kudeibu Estate at about 9.30 p.m and the mob reportedly chased, caught and beat them to death.

    According to an eye witness, Tobi Alade, immediately the robbers stole the motorcycle, the victim raised alarm which alerted people in the neighbourhood.

    A police source, who spoke to our reporter, revealed that at about 11pm on Saturday night the police at Isheri Oshun Division received a distress call that some thieves were caught at Ijeidodo road. Immediately the Divisional police officer (DPO) and some of his officers raced to the scene.

    Vanguard gathered that when the police officer got to the scene they discovered two unidentified corpses of young men inside the drainage system.

    Famous Cole, the Lagos State police spokesman said he would get back to us, but had not as at press time.
