Nigeria recorded 214 new COVID-19 cases in a day, Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has confirmed.
NCDC, tweeted on Tuesday, ”On the 23rd of March 2021, 214 new confirmed cases and 1 death were recorded in Nigeria.’’
According to the health public agency, ”The 214 new cases are reported from 12 states- Adamawa (109), Lagos (33), Bauchi (26), Kaduna (9), Rivers (9), FCT (7), Oyo (7), Gombe (5), Ebonyi (4), Osun (3), Ekiti (1), and Ogun (1).’’
”Till date, 162,076 cases have been confirmed, 148,530 cases have been discharged and 2,031 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
”A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC) activated at Level 3, continues to coordinate the national response activities,’’ it stated.
Meanwhile, ”157 community recoveries in Bauchi State, 121 in FCT and 55 in Lagos State managed in line with guidelines. Backlog of cases from Adamawa State recorded from the 10th of March, 2021.’’
