The Internal Province of Ghana Anglican Communion has condemned one of its priests who was captured on a video k*ssing female students at St Monica’s College of Education.
Executive Director to the Metropolitan Archbishop of Ghana, Dr George Dawson-Ahmoah in a statement issued on Tuesday stated that an investigation has begun into the matter.
According to him, the said priest, Rev. Fr Balthazar Obeng Larbi, if found culpable will be dealt with as stipulated in the norms and values of the Anglican Communion.
“The Church is saddened by the news and wish to state expressly that, a thorough investigation has immediately been instituted into the matter and the action of the said Priest would be dealt with in accordance with the norms and values of the Anglican Communion where morality is extremely revered in the Church,” Dr Dawson-Ahmoah stated.
A viral video that shows a chaplain kissing three female students has gotten many social media users upset.
The video showed Rev Larbi of the St. Monica’s College of Education, completely wearing his cassock, kissing a few young ladies who were in front of an audience with him, reciprocally.
The initial two kisses got the congregants shouting with fervor. In any case, the third female student could be seen wondering whether or not to surrender to the minister’s signal yet was constrained eventually.
Hence, many are calling for examinations concerning the matter and an assertion from the school specialists apologized for the activity.
In the mean time, Dr Dawson-Ahmoah said the Anglican Communion would connect with the students worried through advising meetings to turn away any mental issues that might emerge.
