The Lagos State Government has indefinitely shut Dowen College, Lekki, pending the outcome of an investigation into the death of Sylvester Oromoni Jnr, a student of the school.

Lagos State Commissioner for Education, Mrs. Folasade Adefisayo announced the closure after a meeting with the School Management and Staffers.

The Commissioner called for calm, saying no effort will be spared in getting to the root of the incident.

Before now, the school management had closed the college and directed the students to return after two days.

Sylvester died some days ago following the injury he sustained after he was allegedly attacked by some of his classmates who were allegedly bullying him and forcing him to join a cult group.
