The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has suspended Nollywood actor, Moses Armstrong, accused of allegedly raping a 16-year-old girl in Akwa Ibom State.

Moses was arrested following a complaint filed against him by Family Empowerment and Youth Re-Orientation Path Initiative (FEYReP), a pet project of Martha Udom Emmanuel, wife of Akwa Ibom governor.

The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr Odilko MacDon (SP), who equally confirmed this to journalists in Uyo in a telephone interview, said Armstrong is in their custody pending a report from the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP).

But, a statement signed by its publicity secretary, Monalisa Chinda-Coker on Saturday, June 15, said Moses has been suspended forthwith and is prohibited from acting until the investigation into the allegation is concluded.
