Rex Tillerson who visited and left Nigeria Monday, March 12 is no longer the Secretary of State for United States of America.
President Donald Trump who announced firing Tillerson in a Tweet on Tuesday, March 13 has nominated Mike Pompeo, Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) director for the position.
“I appreciate his service and wish him well,” Trump consoled Tillerson.
“I think he will do a fantastic work,” the US President told Pompeo.
Meanwhile, Gina Haspel is nominated to replace Pompeo as new CIA Director.
Trump said he disagrees with Tillerson on such key issues as the Iran Nuclear deal.
