Every human being has different metabolism system and immunity. The difference between these body’s organs is affected by the quality of food intake and the nutrition contents of it that the person consumes every day. This is also how it works for those who suffer from Anemia. They need to constantly consume food with minerals in it to smooth the process of haemoglobin forming in their blood.

    Anaemia and Its Symptoms

Anaemia is a condition which decreases the haemoglobin level inside the blood. Haemoglobin is one of the proteins that bring oxygen to the red blood cells. Haemoglobin in those who suffer from anaemia doesn’t function well, thus affecting the production of red blood cells.

The forming of haemoglobin happens inside the bone’s marrow. To form the haemoglobin, body needs some ingredients first such as vitamin B2, B12 and iron contained in the food we consume. It is important for those who suffer from anaemia to pick foods with these ingredients in it as their main menu to help their body form the haemoglobin. The health benefits saffron and health benefits of quail eggs can also help you to increase the red blood cells.

Lack of oxygen carried out by the haemoglobin in red blood cells impacts someone’s life quality. This is because oxygen is a main component that is needed by human’s organs activities. Lack of oxygen can cause some severe impact too for the body.

Normal haemoglobin level of human is 13.5-18 gram/dl for male and 12-16 gram/dl for females. If someone’s haemoglobin level is lower than the normal level, there is a possibility of one suffering from anaemia. The symptoms of those who suffer from anaemia are:

    Headache
    Pale face
    Difficulties to concentrate
    Easily fainted
    No appetite
Easily get tired when doing physical activities.
    Factors that Cause Anaemia

There are a lot of factors that can cause someone to have anaemia. The common cause is the lack of nutrition to help form red blood cells then leading to internal bleeding, stress, genetic factors as well as developing some diseases that can cause the decreasing of red blood cells. Besides, anaemia is more common in women due to hormonal factors such as on pregnant women or women who are on their period.

Anaemia may not be a harmful disease, but it is not something that we should overlook at and not doing anything about it. The biggest factor on those suffering from anaemia is the weak metabolism and immune system that will easily grab other diseases. The nutrition experts say that those who suffer from anaemia needs to pay attention to the nutrition inside their foods. They indeed have to consume food with the contents of vitamin B2, B12, and iron in it.

    Guava for Anaemia

Are there benefits of guava for anaemia treatments? Nowadays there are a lot of supplements that offer to increase the red blood cells for anaemia. Those supplements indeed have vitamin and iron in it that is needed by the body to produce haemoglobin. However, it will be a whole lot better if you try to increase the red blood cells for anaemia using natural ingredients such as from fruits and fresh vegetables.

One of the fruits that contain ingredients to form red blood cells is guava. Guava is an oval-shaped fruit with 2-4 cm diameter. The meat is soft and smooth, has seeds, and tastes sweet. Guava has variety of colours for their meat like yellow, white, and red. You can check out more about the health benefits of guava here as well as the health benefits of guava leaves.

According to Food Composition Data (1992), the vitamin C content inside every 100 grams of guava is two times the content in the oranges with the same weight. Vitamin C is used to help the absorption of iron in the body. Iron is the main ingredient in the formation of haemoglobin. Therefore, it is advisable for people who suffer from anaemia to consume guava. There are a variety of anaemia treatments that you can try out to overcome this problem.

The vitamin contents of guava usually placed in their skin and also outer meat of the fruit that is soft and thick. Use blender to ground it and do not add anything else.  Consume guava with red meat colour since it can increase the haemoglobin level in the red blood cells.
