President Bola Tinubu has doled out another $100,000 (N150 million) to each of the players of the Nigeria Basketball team known as D’Tigress.
However, the coaches and technical crew members were given $50,000 (N75 million) each.
The largesse is similar to what he gave the Super Falcons in July when they won the 2025 WAFCON.
Represented by Nigeria’s Vice President, Kashim Shettima at a reception held in honour of the team at Aso Villa, the President conferred National Honours of Officer of the Order of Niger (OON) on each of the players and technical crew members.
