Akwa Ibom State police command has declared a suspected kidnap kingpin in Ukanafun Local Government Area wanted for his sinister roles in a series of kidnappings and killings in the area.
The suspect -Akaninyene Jumbo Uko alias isoakpabafid from Ikot Ibekwe in Ukanafun is said to be terrorizing the local government area for the past one year.
A release from the state police command, Ikot Akpan Abia, and signed by the command Public Relations Officer, DSP Bala Elkana said the suspect is wanted in connection with cases of kidnapping in Ukanafun.
The press release reads in parts,”Akwa Ibom state police command has declared one Akaninyene Jumbo Uko , a.k.a Isoakpaefid of Ikot Ibekwe, Ukanafun wanted.
“He is wanted by the police in connection with series of. Kidnapping cases in Akwa Ibom state.”
It would be recalled that the Village Head of Ikot Anta Eneng Obom in Ukanafun Local Government of Akwa Ibom, Chief Emmanuel Jim Umahaeyo was allegedly killed by his gang in January this year.
Chief Umahaeyo, who was shot twice in his palace by three unknown gunmen riding on a motor cycle, died on the spot.
