    Aunty Jewel Montessori Academy in Charity Outreach and Christmas Celebration

    It was indeed a beautiful, colorful and awesome moment in Aunty Jewel Montessori Academy, Uyo, Friday as the Proprietor, Mrs. Eme Atakpo gathered her pupils, parents, a cross section of women from the host community and other well wishers for the end of term and Christmas outreach celebration.

     The pupils and teachers showcased their talents and were given prizes followed by refreshment and more.

    In his remarks, the Chairman on the occasion, the Very Rev.  Uwem Etim Udoyo commended the management of the school for its high quality academic services to the children, and called on it to keep up the good work while encouraging parents in the area to avail themselves of the opportunity to empower their children for the top in the school.

    Udoyo expressed gratitude to the organizers of the Christmas event for deeming it fit to touch the lives of the women of the area in a very special way as befitting the season.

    The occasion which was in collaboration with Friends of the Needy Organization also featured health talk, free medical tests and drugs to a cross section of women in the host community of the school which were administered  by seasoned nurses.

    Speaking, the Proprietor of the school and president of Friends of the Needy Org., FONO, Mrs. Eme Atakpo said the two institutions are well aware of the significance of Christmas which symbolizes love and giving and try to live by it.

    Mrs. Atakpo thanked those who keyed into the project through their wonderful donations in kind, cash and service.

    She expressed sincere gratitude to her staff, the PTA Executive, parents and FONO family for the show of love, unity, commitment and compassion which resulted in the huge success recorded.

    The women later enjoyed refreshments and were also presented with food items, clothings, accessories, mosquito nets and cash in the spirit of the season.

    In their reactions, the women with tears of joy thanked the organizers for their benevolent gestures and poured out prayers of blessings upon them.
