A 21-year-old woman from Dongguan, China, was recently diagnosed with retinal artery obstruction in her right eye, after playing a popular smartphone game non-stop. The woman simply known as Wu, apparently noticed that she could not see anything with her right eye on October 1, while playing her favorite mobile game, King of Glory. Thinking she was just tired, she went to bed, but when she woke up the next day, she was still blind in her right eye. The Minister of Transportation, Chief Rotimi Amaechi says there is no money yet with the Federal Government to commence the construction of $26 billion Eastern railway in the country. A medical doctor and 11 persons have been infected with monkeypox virus in Bayelsa State. The victims were said to have been quarantined at isolation centre at the Niger Delta University Teaching Hospital, Okolobiri in Yenagoa. Already, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and the epidemiological team is reportedly tracking 49 other persons who were said to have come in contact with the victims. Three scientists, who developed a “cool microscopy” that revolutionises Biochemistry, have won this year’s Nobel Prize in Chemistry. The scientists are Jacques Dubochet, Joachim Frank, and Richard Henderson- the trio invented a cryo-electron microscopy for the high-resolution structure determination of biomolecules in solution.
