The Jos University Teaching Hospital, JUTH, weekend undertook its first surgery to remove brain tumor using a machine that drills the skull bone to gain access to the tumor. “It is the first Trans-labyrinthine approach to a posterior fossa tumor. The Federal Government has said no governor in the 36 states of the federation will say he cannot pay the new minimum wage of N30,000. Minister of Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige, who stated this in an interview in Abuja, weekend, maintained that payment of the new wage started on April 18 when President Muhammadu Buhari signed the Minimum Wage Amendment Act Bill into law. Movement for the Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, has called on other ethnic nationalities in Nigeria to establish their radio stations. Recall that last Tuesday, Adamu Adamu, the Minister of Education told newsmen in Abuja that the Federal Government has acquired an Amplitude Modulation radio broadcast licence to reach herdsmen across various locations in the country. Facebook is planning to launch its own cryptocurrency in early 2020, allowing users to make digital payments in a dozen countries. The currency, dubbed GlobalCoin, would enable Facebook’s 2.4 billion monthly users to change dollars and other international currencies into its digital coins. A South African mountaineer reached the top of Mount Everest on Thursday, becoming the first black African woman to conquer the world’s highest mountain, her expedition organiser and her government said.
