Former Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Solomon Arase, has departed for eternal abode. According to family sources, the one-time chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC), passed away at Cedar Crest Hospital, Abuja,  after battling an undisclosed ailment. A Magistrate’s Court in Akure, Ondo State on Thursday, remanded a 42-year-old pastor, Samson Ajayi, in the Olokuta Correctional Centre for allegedly r3ping his 17-year-old biological daughter ( name withheld) for over four years. Two children aged eight and 10 have been killed and 17 people injured when a gunman opened fire on schoolchildren attending Mass at a Catholic school in the United States, authorities say. The police chief of Minneapolis, Minnesota, said that of the people injured in the Wednesday morning attack, 14 are children and two were in critical condition.
