A long-time personal assistant to President Donald Trump was reportedly fired and escorted out of the White House on Monday, with one report claiming the ouster was due to a criminal investigation. John McEntee was unceremoniously removed from his position because the Department of Homeland Security is investigating him for “serious financial crimes,” CNN reported, citing an unidentified source familiar with his termination. Hope of Akwa Ibom Specialist Hospital, Uyo becoming fully operational is blooming as the state government has concluded plans to recruit new management experts and consultants to manage the health institution. The hospital, built at the cost of about N41 billion and inaugurated just three years ago by the previous administration was shut down in September last year after the private managers, Cardiocare Medical Services Ltd, terminated their contract with the state government and withdrew from the facility. A total of 49 of the 71 people died on board in a plane crash at Nepal main airport. Police said Tuesday an investigation was ordered into the cause of the accident. It followed seeming confusion over landing instructions before the plane,flying low and erratically, struck the ground and erupted in flames. A business woman, 30, in Sokoto has been remanded in prison custody over alleged murder of her baby born out of wedlock. Rabiat Mustapha, who resides at Asada area of Sokoto, is facing a two-count charge of criminal conspiracy and preventing a child from being borne or causing it die after birth. The accused pleaded guilty to the charge. Abubakar Adamu, the Chief Magistrate, however, said the court lacked jurisdiction over the matter but ordered that the accused be remanded in prison custody. Muyideen Alani of no fixed address is facing a two-count charge bordering on reckless driving which resulted to the death of one Mohammed Lawan. The prosecutor, Insp. A violent clash between a herdsman and a farmer in Onunwakpu community of Izzi local government area in Ebonyi State has led to the death of four persons and many wounded.
