The Transmission Company of Nigeria, TCN, requires N3.85 billion to procure relevant equipment and rehabilitate its six systems that collapsed in January 2018 within nine months. Investigation showed that the equipment include the 1x150mva, 330/132kv T1A Mitsubishi power transformer in Jos which was completely burnt, and will take N850 million to replace. Another major burnt equipment was the 1x30mva, 330/33kv T2 Toshiba transformer at Gusau substation which would require N300 million for a total replacement. Accident Investigation Bureau, AIB, Tuesday dispatched two of its investigators to Port Harcourt International Airport to commence investigation into the Dana Air plane incident at the airport. Confirming this development, Mr. Tunji Oketunbi, General Manager, Public Affairs, AIB, said two of the bureau’s accident investigators have been sent to Port Harcourt Airport, the scene of the incidence, to make sure no evidence is tampered with. Senators under the umbrella of the Northern Senators Forum have removed Abdullahi Adamu as their chairman. He was replaced by Aliyu Wammako, a one-time Sokoto State governor. This follows assent to the 2018 bill totaling N646.6 billion by Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State on Monday at the State Executive Council Chamber, Government House, Uyo. .
