Militant youths in Ondo State have given a three-day ultimatum to oil companies operating in the state to leave unless the state government enrols their members in the amnesty programme meant for ex-militants. Yoruba leaders in the South-West geopolitical zone, under the aegis of the Yoruba Summit, on Thursday threw their weight behind ranching of cattle. Operatives of the Nigeria Drug Law Enforcement Agency, (NDLEA), Edo state command, have discovered a warehouse used for the storing of large quantities of cannabis otherwise known as Indian hemp worth more than N26 million. A statement by Mr. Wakawa Buba, the State Commandant of the NDLEA, said the warehouse was discovered in a thick forest in Ugbubezi village in Owan West local government area of Edo State. The Nigerian Governors’ Forum Wednesday reported the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, to President Muhammadu Buhari for its inability to remit the Joint Venture Cash Call to the Federation Account for five years.
