The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has charged four suspects to court for obstructing a public highway on Monday. This follows an earlier warning by the command that it will not tolerate any individual or group taking the law into their own hands by obstructing highways. The Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly has passed a Motion to curb illegal motor parks in Uyo Metropolis. The Rivers State Government has explained that its case challenging the leadership of the State House of Assembly and the membership of the members who defected in December 2023 are still before the Supreme Court.
