A number of members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) across six states could not join their colleagues who passed out from the scheme. Thousands of corps members, part of the 2017 Batch A stream 1, passed out in ceremonies held across Nigeria on Thursday. No fewer than 600,000 Nigerians have so far benefited from the federal government’s social intervention scheme under the Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme (GEEP) for entrepreneurs, Yemi Osinbajo, the vice president has revealed. The GEEP micro credit is one of the flagships of the Federal Government’s social intervention programmes that enables entrepreneurs have access to affordable credits to fund their businesses, especially in rural areas. The Nigerian Stock Exchange, NSE, has said that Access Bank Plc, Lafarge Africa Plc, Seplat Petroleum Development Company Plc and United Bank for Africa Plc will be migrated to its Premium Board next week.
