Akwa Ibom Governor, Udom Emmanuel, has railed at marginalization of the state by federal government in the disbursement of funds for infrastructural development especially roads. The national economic council (NEC) headed by Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo has constituted a 10-man working committee to address killings by herdsmen. The committee headed by Osinbajo has governors of Kaduna, Zamfara, Taraba, Benue, Adamawa, Edo, Plateau, Oyo, and Ebonyi as members. The Leicester Crown Court, United Kingdom, on Thursday convicted a Nigerian businessman, Walter Wagbatsoma, of money laundering. The English court sentenced him to a jail term of three and a half years. A Lagos State High Court in Ikeja had last year convicted him in absentia alongside his company of fuel subsidy fraud.
