The Federal Government has begun the implementation of Universal Basic Education (UBE) Effective Schools Programme in 111 specific schools across Nigeria. A total of N1,143.210 trillion May 2024 Federation Accounts Revenue has been shared to the Federal Government, States and Local Government Councils in the country. The amount was the total revenue generated in April 2024. MultiChoice’s financial results for the year ended 31 March 2024 showed it lost 9 per cent of its active subscribers over the last year. The Federal High Court, Lagos ordered Ms Sadia Umar-Farouk, former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disasters Management and Social Development to account for payments of N729bn to 24.3 million poor Nigerians for six months. Akwa Ibom State Police Command said it would arraign a three-member robbery syndicate that terrorised the people of Ikot Abasi village in Onna Local Government Area in the state High Court.
