A policewoman, Inspector Iniobong Umoren, Thursday was ordered to pay N5 million fine to a commercial tricycle operator for unlawful arrest and seizure of his tricycle (Keke). Jeremiah Sunday Udo, the victim, claimed to have acquired the tricycle through a hire purchase deal amounting to N1.9 million. The states are Abia, Bauchi, Ebonyi, Cross River, Lagos, Plateau, and Zamfara. The Nigerian Supreme Court has reinstated Yusuf Abba Kabiru of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) as the duly elected Kano State governor. The apex court dismissed the petition instituted against Yusuf by the All Progressives Congress, APC, and its governorship candidate, Nasir Yusuf Gawuna. The police have begun investigation into the petition by Nigerian singer and songwriter, Tiwa Savage, against David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido over alleged bullying and threat to her life.
