The presidential intervention in the Rivers State political impasse recorded success Monday, December 18, as feuding sides reached an eight-point peace accord. President Bola Tinubu met with sides involved in the crisis and secured commitments from all sides to abide by a set of eight resolutions reached at the parley. In less than six months of pledging support to President Bola Tinubu, a former Niger Delta militant leader, Asari Dokubo, has dragged and withdrew support to his administration.
