In one month under President Bola Tinubu administration, two suspected crude oil vessels have been intercepted in Delta State, South-South region. The latest was caught at Koko area of Delta State by the Tanita Security Services, a private security company owned by Government Ekpemupolo, popularly called Tompolo. The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has issued an ultimatum to the Federal Government to withdraw a lawsuit filed against the organised labour. It has threatened a nationwide strike on August 14, 2023, if the government fails to do so. Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has directed investigation into the tragic death of a female doctor, Vwaere Diaso, in an elevator at General hospital, Odan in Lagos Island on Tuesday, August 1.
