A former student who fatally shot and killed three people and wounded 13 on Friday after barging into two schools in southeastern Brazil is in detention, authorities said. Police in India blamed rats for eating nearly 200kg of cannabis seized from criminals and kept in police stations. A court heard how the rodents had in some cases eaten the marijuana being kept as evidence. The judge cited three cases in which marijuana was destroyed by rodents. The Appeal Court, Yola Division in Adamawa State, has ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to immediately publish the name of Senator Aishatu Dahiru Binani as Adamawa All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate.
