A Nigerian Army Officer, identified as Lt. Samson Haruna, has been reported dead following an attack by his wife during a heated domestic feud. Haruna was said to have died after sustaining severe burns when his wife allegedly set him ablaze in the course of a fight. The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) says it identified 400 dormant oil fields, and directed complacent companies to take quick actions to revive them. As a way of enhancing a conducive host community environment in Nigeria, Host Community Development Trusts (HCDTs) have remitted more than N358.67 billion to benefiting communities. A breakdown shows that HCDTs remitted N122.34 billion, and more than $168.91 million to the beneficiaries as of October 2025.
