Delta, Rivers and Akwa Ibom, the oil-rich Nigerian states, got N93.1 billion bumper allocations in February 2024 from the revenue generated in January 2024. Delta got N38.1 billion, Rivers, N28.4 billion while Akwa Ibom received N26.6 billion of the N2.07 trillion shared to the three tiers of government.
