Delta, Rivers and Akwa Ibom, the oil-rich Nigerian states, got N93.1 billion bumper allocations in February 2024 from the revenue generated in January 2024. Delta got N38.1 billion, Rivers, N28.4 billion while Akwa Ibom received N26.6 billion of the N2.07 trillion shared to the three tiers of government. The figure represents 23.9 percent rise from N1.67 trillion distributed in January 2024. The identities of the Nigerian Army commander, three officers, and 13 soldiers who were killed by attackers in the Okuama in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State have been published. The Defence Headquarters shared their photos and names on X account on Monday. Suspected assailants, Friday evening, fled after killing the General Overseer of Mount of Solution Redeemed Church, Ikot Ekang in Abak Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, Apostle Elisha Asuquo.
