The United States Government has announced $7 million dollars (about N2.6 billion) emergency health and humanitarian aid to Nigeria amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. This is part of $274 million dollars (N103 billion) assistance package to no fewer than 63 countries affected by the disease, according to a statement by the Department of States on Friday. A 30-year-old Nigerian pastor convicted for human trafficking will serve two years in the correctional centre. Pastor Kelechi Nwankwo was arranged on a two-count charge No: FHC/PH/28c/2018 by the Uyo zonal command of NAPTIP for harbouring a 17-year-old pregnant girl and attempting to sell a two-day-old baby. The number of deaths by the novel coronavirus around the world stood at 19,246, according to a tally compiled by AFP at 1100 GMT Wednesday from official sources.
