Team Delta has once again emerged champions of the 22nd National Sports Festival, securing their fifth consecutive title and reaffirming their position as Nigeria’s premier sporting powerhouse. Six persons have lost their lives in a road accident along Mbiabong Road, near Itu-Calabar Road in Akwa Ibom State. The victims include three males, one female and two children. President Bola Tinubu administration’s request to borrow $24 billion sent to National Assembly for approval has received several knocks from different quarters. One of the knocks came from the Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) asking the National Assembly to turn down the request with a warning that the move would significantly deepen Nigeria’s debt crisis.
