The Nigeria Police Force has promoted 13 commissioners of Police to the rank of Assistant Inspectors General of Police. Consequently, the forcew has redeployed the AIGs to various commands and zones on the order of the Inspector-General Mohammed Adamu. The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has given approval to OPay, a provider of payment, ride-hailing, food delivery and loan services to commence international money transfer. With the approval, OPay will start facilitating remittance B2B, B2P and P2P remittance services into Nigeria. The Court of Appeal in Calabar, the Cross River State capital, Saturday, ordered Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to withdraw the Certificate of Return issued to Senator Chris Ekpenyong. Ekpenyong of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was declared winner of the February 23, 2019 National Assembly Elections Petitions Tribunal in Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial District, against Senator Godswill Akpabio of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
