Enugu Catholic Diocese has lifted the ban that stopped priests and Catholic faithful from attending Adoration Ministry, Enugu led by the fiery priest, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka.
The Catholic Bishop of the diocese, Callistus Onaga had, on June 18, banned church members from attending activities at the ministry.
The ban followed criticisms by the outspoken Mbaka against Peter Obi, the Labour Party (LP) Presidential candidate.

Mr Mbaka, during his weekly ministration service in June, said Mr Obi would not be president of Nigeria in 2023 because he is a stingy man.
He also said unless Mr Obi returned to his Adoration Ministry to apologise for refusing to make a donation to the ministry when he was asked to do so, his ambition to become president of Nigeria would be fruitless.
Though many Nigerians, including the diocese, criticised him over his comment on Mr Obi, the clergyman later apologised to the former governor and his supporters, saying that his intent was not to malign the LP candidate.
But the diocese, Thursday, September 29, confirmed that the ban on the ministry has been lifted.
The Director of communications of the Enugu Catholic Diocese, Rev. Fr. Benjamin Achi confirmed to The Nation that the ban has been lifted.
He said, henceforth, masses would begin to hold at The Adoration Ground.
“I can confirm to you that the ban has been lifted. That’s the situation now. There’ll be Mass there beginning from this Sunday and subsequent Sundays”. he said
Mbaka who also confirmed the development, said;
“Dear Adorers,
