It is easier to gain weight than to lose it. There are different Nigerian foods that can make you gain the weight you so desire.

Yoghurt: Yoghurt either sweetened or unsweetened is good for weight gain. Yoghurt is made of milk, fats, sugar, flavours and they contain a high degree of protein, carbohydrates, fats and minerals. Taking at least 500ml of yoghurt daily can make you gain weight.

Whole Grain: Grains such as millet, soybean, guinea corn, maize are other sources for weight gain. Most Nigerians mix all the grains and process for consumption. Grains are naturally fortified with carbs, proteins, fibre, calcium, iron and B vitamins so taking grains is very important in your quest for body weight.

Nuts: There are different nuts in Nigerian. Nuts such as tiger nut, cashew nut, coconut, groundnut etc can be processed into drinks, snacks or eaten as they are. These nuts have high density lipoprotein HDL, vitamins and minerals that aid in weight gaining.

Aside gaining weight studies have shown that nuts like the ones listed above are very good for cardiovascular health also they aid in blood boosting and circulation.

Fruits: Some fruits such as avocados, banana, pineapple, apple aids in weight gain. Combining these fruits and taking as smoothie will work faster. A glass of smoothie a day is recommended for weight gain. These fruits also come with healthy cholesterol, vitamin A, B3 B6, B9, B12, C and E among others which will make up a balanced diet when taken in good quantity.

Proteins: Proteins like beef, chicken, fish, eggs are also important for weight gaining but be careful with the red meat as they are not so good in the long run. Inculcate a good amount of protein in your diet and your weight is sure to increase faster than you imagined.
