Ebony Reigns’ Death: Corpse Of Ghanaian Soldier To Serve 40 days’ Court-Martial- Army

The corpse of a soldier who accompanied the late singer, Ebony Reigns would be sentenced to 40 days in the military guardroom, report from Ghanaian military authority has confirmed.

The Ghanaian Ebony, a popular music star died Thursday night along Sunyani-Kumasi Highway, Kumasi in a fatal accident caused by a heap of sand stationed on the road path while returning to Accra after visiting her mother.

In an attempt by her driver to swerve the heap of sand, he crashed the Jeep carrying the three passengers into a stationed VIP bus leading to the untimely demise of the singer.

Francis Atsu Vondee, an air force corporal who was Ebony’s bodyguard acted against the rules of the army, especially when he wore his uniform for an unofficial duty, report said.

It is alleged that deceased soldier actually applied for a sick leave from work before embarking on the journey but never informed his superiors of where or what he was going to be engaged with.

As a punishment, the military will court-martial and detain the body of the deceased for 40 days before it will be handed over to his family.

The bereaved family, according to the report, could be denied his terminal benefits.

So far, the bodies of Ebony, the soldier and another man are at Mankranso Hospital.

Meanwhile, Prophet Gaisie, Founder and Leader of the True Word Prophetic Fire Ministry (TWPFM), has allegedly claimed that two persons were responsible for the death of the Singer, saying that their names were revealed to him in a dream.

Gaisie, who claimed to have predicted the sudden death, said Ebony did not die naturally.

“God revealed to me that she [Ebony] won’t live beyond 24 [years] and He also revealed to me the names of the two people. I would have told her the names and what she would do to avert it if she had come to see me,” he said in an interview on Accra FM.

When news of Ebony’s death broke on Friday, the Prophet posted on Facebook that he had predicted an impending death for Ebony but the singer failed to consult him.

Speaking in the interview after his somewhat controversial claim, Gaisie explained the prophecy came in the form of a dream.

In his dream, “he saw the late Suzzy Williams and moments later, Suzzy’s image changed to that of Ebony.”

This, he said, meant that Ebony was going to go on the path of Suzzy who died in 2005, aged 23, in a car crash.

In the revelation, he added, “God revealed the names of two people. One is her aunt, the other is a top music industry person but it is unfortunate she did not come because it was avoidable.”

Answering a question on why he did not intercede on behalf of Ebony, the Prophet stated that some prophecies need the involvement of the people involved to be averted.

He further pointed out that his call for Ebony to come and see him was not because he wanted any benefits but was only the direction to deal with the problem.

Ebony, born Priscilla Opoku Kwarteng, died with her friend and personal assistant, Franky Kuri, and soldier bodyguard.

She would have been 21 years old on Friday, February 16.
