The Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has called on support groups and Akwa Ibom people to employ additional skills for greater agricultural outputs.

The Governor said by so doing, the current hardship occasioned by poor agricultural outputs will be a thing of the past.

Eno who met with some groups which were on hand to welcome him on arrival from his foreign trip appreciated the one million support group as they joined other skilled entrepreneurs to celebrate the World Skills Day.

The one-million job and community group was led by Mr Imoh Ekpenyong who presented some of their products to the Governor.

Reacting to the Supreme Court judgement on local government financial autonomy, he said that his administration had been practising local government financial autonomy in the state.

According to him, he was in support of the Supreme Court judgement as it was merely legalizing what had since been in practice in the state.

Earlier, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Political Support Groups, Pastor Samuel Edet, PhD, had introduced and presented the Top 7 Group to the Governor.

Presenting the Group, the SSA to the Governor on Political Support Groups commended the Governor on the new addition to the Ibom Air fleet, the actualization of the Compassionate Homes for the needy as well as his passion to building an enterprising youth population as exemplified in the training of the 400 female youths and setting them up with N500,000 each.

High point of the welcome exercise was when the Group showcased their skills by way of what they have used the skills gained to do and achieve and also presented some of the products to the Governor.
