Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets have been eliminated after losing to Burkina Faso 2-1 in the quarterfinals of the 2023 U17 Africa Cup of Nations clash.
The Eaglets would not play in the 2023 U17 FIFA World Cup slot.
Nigeria trailed 2-0 in the first half, pulling one back in the second half of the explosive encounter, but they were unable to find the back of the net to level the tie at the Nelson Mandela Stadium on Thursday.
Aboubacar Camara was the hero for the Baby Stallions after he scored in either half while Abubakar Abdullahi scored a late consolation for Nigeria.
