The Human Rights – First the Child Trust Fund has reaffirmed its support for Akwa Ibom Governor Umo Eno’s educational policies under the ARISE Agenda.

The Chairman/Chief Executive Officer Human Rights – First the Child Trust Fund, Rev (Dr) Hilkiah Eliathah, who stated this in a press statement in Uyo, explained that this was in furtherance of its commitment to child welfare, social justice and community development to the society.

.Dr Eliathah noted that the Trust Fund has continued to align its programmes with Governor Umo Eno’s vision for inclusive growth, educational advancement and the protection of every child within the State.

As part of its advocacy, Eliathah said the Trust Fund has worked with key stakeholders to ensure that crucial development initiatives receive recognition, like a recent collaborative engagement with the State Ministry of Education, to acknowledge and appreciate the efforts of Pastor Jerry Udo, whose grassroots educational interventions have significantly impacted learners and young people across communities.

Pastor Jerry Udo, a Chartered Accountant based in the United States, had recently built and donated an 8- classroom block, staff quarters and administrative block to Community Comprehensive Secondary School, Obon Akwa in Obot Akara Local Government Area.

This synergy, he said reflects the Governor’s emphasis on partnership, transparency, and community-driven contributions to the education sector of the State.

The organization stresses that this cooperation with the Ministry of Education is a testament to the State Government’s openness to innovation and its readiness to welcome constructive support from responsible civil society organisations.

“At no point has the Ministry acted contrary to the interests of the children, rather, the Ministry has shown commitment to expanding the reach of the Arise Agenda through shared responsibility and collaboration,” the release noted.

With expanded advocacy, Dr Eliathah assured that his organization will continue to promote policies and actions that secure a brighter future for Akwa Ibom children. The organisation therefore called on all partners, institutions and well-meaning citizens to sustain their support for Governor Umo Eno’s people-focused leadership.
