Against indifference shown by Federal Government in taking action on an inciting statement issued by a coalition of northern groups against the Nigerian State, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Legal Adviser has mocked the country’s unity, saying “I’m among those that do not believe in one Nigeria!”
Barr. Emmanuel Enoidem who is concerned about prevailing insecurity, incitements and impunity by government and individuals rocking the foundation of the country stated “No country can prosper with this level of injustice and madness.”
A coalition of northern groups last Wednesday issued a 30-day ultimatum to governors who are opposed to the RUGA settlement programme to reconsider their decisions.
According to the spokesperson of the group, Abdul-Azeez Suleiman, the debate to accept or not to accept the program is already causing disaffection for herders who are of Fulani extraction.
“While we warn all state governments that stand against the implementation of the Ruga Initiative to desist and give peace a chance, we place President Buhari and the Federal Government on notice that they must completely stop this raging madness within 30 days beginning from Wednesday,” Suleiman said.
Enoidem was particularly unhappy on people he described as “Some misguided people went on national TV and issued threats. They gave a 30-day deadline to the nation.”
The fiery politician who posted his views on Radar Whatapps group lambasted National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), Directorate of State Security (DSS) and Nigeria Police Force (NPF) for their nonchalance over the inciting statement by Abdulaziz Suleiman.
“The NBC found nothing wrong with that. The DSS and Police suddenly became dumb and nonchalant,” he castigated.
The legal adviser howled “They are walking freely. Not even an invitation by the security agencies.”
According to him, “Gani Adams issued a statement the other day and the IG personally rushed down to meet him.
“The IPOB did not kill anyone but was declared a terrorist group and their members killed and detained by this murderous regime.
“But daily, we see criminals and terrorists that this same government said are foreigners killing and inflicting terror across the country without consequences,” Enoidem concluded.
