Nigerian international Ademola Lookman left Atalanta and joined Atlético Madrid for a €40 million agreement.
The Spanish club will pay a fixed fee of €35 million, with a further €5 million in add ons included in the deal, taking the total package to €40 million. The agreement was concluded after decisive talks on Saturday night.
Lookman has also agreed personal terms on a long term contract, clearing the final hurdle for the transfer to proceed.

Atlético are now planning the player’s travel arrangements and medical examinations, which are expected to take place shortly, ahead of the formal completion of the move.
Recall that the Nigerian Super Eagles player who joined Atalanta in 2022 had submitted a transfer request to the club, accusing the Serie A club of breaking promises and treating him poorly despite years of commitment.
