Nigeria has become the 12th country in the world to qualify for World Cup Russia 2018 having trounced Zambia 1-0 at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
The goal was scored by Alex Iwobi, the Arsenal midfielder at the 74th minutes of the match.
By this winning, Nigeria has garnered 13 points from five matches followed by Zambia with 7 points.
Nigeria and Zambia had lost several scoring chances in the first half of the match. However, Nigeria converted the only chance to a goal.
