Nigeria recorded 15 deaths on Tuesday, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 1,522.
In its official Twitter on Tuesday, Nigeria Centre for Disease Control said ‘’On the 26th of January 2021, 1,303 new confirmed cases and 15 deaths were recorded in Nigeria.’’
NCDC wrote ”The 1303 new cases are reported from 26 states- Lagos (478), FCT (211), Nasarawa (83), Rivers (72), Kwara (42), Edo 36), Ondo (34), Benue (32), Kaduna (32), Katsina (26), Plateau (26).’’
Others are Kano (25), Taraba (25), Osun (22), Delta (21), Oyo (21), Niger (19), Sokoto (18), Ebonyi (17), Ekiti (14), Gombe (13), Ogun (12), Bauchi (11), Zamfara (8), Borno (4) and Jigawa (1).
”Till date, 124299 cases have been confirmed, 99276 cases have been discharged and 1522 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory
”A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 3, continues to coordinate the national response activities,’’ the health agency added.
”Our discharges today include 542 community recoveries in Lagos State, 103 in Plateau State and 22 in Kwara State managed in line with guidelines,’’ the public health agency.
