Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) says 964 new confirmed cases were recorded in Nigeria on Sunday.
In its Twitter handle, NCDC stated ‘’On the 24th of January 2021, 964 new confirmed cases and 2 deaths were recorded in Ni”ria.’’
”The 964 new cases are reported from 19 states- Lagos (360), FCT (88) Ogun (73), Imo (72), Kaduna (67), Plateau (57), Abia (41), Osun (41), Rivers (32), Kano (26), and Niger (24)’’
Others are Benue (23), Edo (20), Cross River (20), Akwa Ibom (8), Nasarawa (6), Zamfara (6), Ekiti (6) and Jigawa (4).
”Till date, 121566 cases have been confirmed, 97228 cases have been discharged and 1504 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory
”A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 3, continues to coordinate the national response activities.
”Our discharges today includes 774 community recoveries in Lagos State managed in line with guidelines,” the public health agency added.
”We have increased our knowledge of the disease, we have grown our capacity to swiftly identify those infected by the plague and render aid to them,” the Vice President wrote.
